Octopus Australia is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to strengthen electrical capabilities across utility-scale solar, wind and BESS projects in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. You will lead electrical scope, shape engineering standards, and drive bankable, cost-effective solutions across pre-construction to operations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated electrical engineering experience on Australian utility-scale renewables (7–10 yrs).
• Experience with HV/MV networks, substations, protection and power quality.
• Experience delivering projects from design through to operations handover.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical scope including budget, schedule, risks and QA for a portfolio of projects.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to colleagues.
• Review submissions, manage EPC/Owner's Engineer design and construction.
• Coordinate with civil, grid, SCADA, and asset management teams.
