Halcyon Knights is seeking an experienced IT Change Manager for a 12-month public sector contract in Sydney's CBD. You will blend change management with business analysis across diverse IT projects to improve services and outcomes.

You will lead change plans, stakeholder engagement, UAT coordination, and document requirements while partnering with vendors and internal teams to accelerate adoption and minimize resistance.

• 5–10 years' experience as IT Change Manager, including BA activities.
• Proven track record in technology projects affecting business workflows.
• Excellent written communication for business cases and exec submissions.
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Change Manager for an initial 12-month contract to support a diverse IT Project Portfolio. This dual-focused position combines robust change management practices with strong business analysis capabilities.

You will lead the planning and execution of change initiatives for IT business infrastructure solutions while simultaneously investigating business problems, mapping future-state processes, and documenting technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, develop, and execute comprehensive change management strategies and integrate activities into overall project schedules.

Produce high-quality change and business analysis artefacts, including change management, communication, and training plans, as well as business process maps and user journeys.

Gather, analyse, and document functional and operational business requirements through stakeholder workshops and interviews.

Conduct stakeholder analysis and business impact assessments to determine operational risks and readiness.

Plan and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training needs analysis, and the development of user guides and instructional materials.

Support the transition and release of diverse technology solutions, including customer portals, web platforms, and cybersecurity initiatives.

Build collaborative relationships across project teams, technical divisions, external vendors, and change champions to minimise resistance and accelerate system adoption.

Requirements & Experience

• 5 to 10 years of demonstrated experience working as an IT Change Manager, with proven experience executing Business Analyst activities within technology projects.
• Strong background supporting technology and software implementation projects that alter business workflows and systems.
• Exceptional written communication skills with a track record of delivering high-quality business cases, reports, and executive submissions.
• Superior interpersonal and facilitation skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholder groups and drive consensus.
• Must be willing to undergo a standard Criminal Record Check prior to commencement.

$1000 daily rate + Super.
