Job summary

Silverchain Group is seeking an Injury Management Advisor to coordinate complex claims and oversee return-to-work for injured employees across Australia. The role reports to the National Injury Management Team Leader and involves managing end-to-end injury management in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has an Allied Health Degree, knowledge of workers' compensation and injury management law, and experience with Solv Injury.

Qualifications

• Allied Health Degree is highly desirable with understanding of musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation.
• Specialised knowledge of worker's compensation, injury management and safety and health legislation practices.
• Demonstrated decision making, conflict resolution and problem solving in a case management environment.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills for advising business leaders.
• Experience with injury management software such as Solv Injury is desirable.
• Ability to work autonomously with a collaborative team focus.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end injury management and return-to-work for injured employees across allocated jurisdictions nationally.
• Develop and monitor tailored return-to-work plans balancing operational needs and employee wellbeing.
• Provide specialist advice and coaching to line managers on injury management best practices and legislative requirements.
• Coordinate pre-employment medical escalations and assist hiring decisions while mitigating health and safety risks.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation providers, medical practitioners, insurers, and legal representatives to optimise recovery and claim outcomes.
• Lead negotiations relating to workers' compensation settlements.
• Develop and execute case management strategies for high-risk claims with regulatory compliance.
• Monitor claim performance and implement proactive injury management strategies to reduce duration and costs.
• Build strong stakeholder relations to influence positive recovery outcomes.
• Contribute to health, safety and wellbeing initiatives and ensure timely deliverables.
