Job summary

Australian Unity provides in-home aged care to older Australians, supporting independence and wellbeing. You will assist with domestic tasks, personal care and medication support, and accompany clients on social activities and transport needs.

Permanent part-time roles with 20–50 hours per fortnight, weekend rosters available for experienced carers, plus paid induction and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Current Australian Driver's Licence with own car.
• 3+ months paid aged care experience.
• Ability to work a minimum of 6 hours per day between 8am–5pm, Mon–Fri.
• No visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Domestic support: cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.
• Personal care: showering, grooming, toileting & mobility support.
• Medication assistance.
• Social support, transport and companionship.
• Promoting independence, dignity & wellbeing.

Join a supportive team helping older Australians (65+) live independently at home and make a real difference every day.

About You

• Live across the Taree, Forster, Tuncurry area including Blackhead, Cedar Party, Chatham, Cundletown, Diamond Beach, Hallidays Point, Koorainght, Nabiac, Red Head, Tallwoods Villiage, Tinonee, Wingham and surrounding communities
• Hold a current Australian Drivers' Licence with your own car (no international license's or shared vehicles)
• Have 3+ months industry experience in a paid Aged Care setting
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours a day between 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (some weekend rosters available for experienced carers)
• Commitment to our paid 2-week Brilliant @ Basics Training when you start!

What We Offer

• $34.80 - $36.59 per hour + 12% super + $0.92/km allowance + paid travel time
• Permanent Part-time contracts: 20-50 hours per fortnight + flex up shifts
• Permanent Part-Time or Casual Contracts
