Job summary

Australian Unity is hiring care professionals to help older Australians in their homes across Mullumbimby and surrounding communities. You will provide domestic and personal care, mobility support, and companionship, delivering person-centred services with a focus on independence and wellbeing.

Benefits include permanent part-time contracts with 20-50 hours per fortnight, paid induction and ongoing training, plus travel allowances.

Qualifications

• Hold a current Australian Drivers' Licence with your own car.
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours a day between 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday; some weekend rosters may be available for experienced carers.
• Open to Entry Level & Experienced candidates; commitment to training on start.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to older Australians in their homes.
• Domestic support: cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.
• Personal care: showering, grooming, toileting & mobility support where applicable.
• Medication assistance where trained.
• Social support, transport and companionship where trained.
• Promote independence, dignity and wellbeing.

Join a supportive team helping older Australians (65+) live independently at home and make a real difference every day.

About You:

• Live across the Mullumbimby area including Billinudgel, Brunswick Heads, Crabbes Creek, Ewingsdale, Main Arm, Mooball, Myocum, New Brighton, Ocean Shores, South Golden Beach, Wilsons Creek and surrounding communities.
• Hold a current Australian Drivers' Licence with your own car (no international license's or shared vehicles)
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours a day between 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (some weekend rosters available for experienced carers)
• Commitment to our paid 2-week Brilliant @ Basics Training when you start!
• Open to Entry Level & Experienced candidates

What We Offer:

• $32.61 - $36.59 per hour + 12% super + $0.92/km allowance + paid travel time
• Permanent Part-time contracts: 20-50 hours per fortnight + flex up shifts
• Permanent Part-Time opportunities for experienced candidates; Casual entry-level roles available with the potential to transition to Permanent Part-Time employment
