Job summary

Australian Unity Limited is seeking a dedicated in-home care worker to support older Australians in their own homes in the Maclean area. You will deliver personal and domestic care, promote independence and wellbeing, and help with mobility and meal preparation.

Role requires a current Australian driver’s licence, own car, 3+ months aged care experience, and availability for at least 6 hours daily, Mon-Fri (some weekend rosters). Training provided; generous hourly rate plus super and allowances.

Qualifications

• 3+ months industry experience in a paid Aged Care setting.
• Willing to work a minimum of 6 hours per day between 7am–6pm Mon-Fri.
• Must hold a current Australian Driver's Licence with own car and reside in Maclean area.
• Complete Brilliant @ Basics Training on start.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care at clients’ homes.
• Provide domestic support, meal prep, laundry.
• Assist with showering, grooming, toileting and mobility.
• Support transport, social activities and companionship.
• Promote independence, dignity and wellbeing.

About You:

• Live across the Maclean area including Ashby, Chatsworth, Harwood, Iluka, Mororo, Palmers Island, Woombah, Yambaand surrounding communities
• Hold a current Australian Drivers' Licence with your own car (no international license's or shared vehicles)
• Have 3+ months industry experience in a paid Aged Care setting
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours a day between 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (some weekend rosters available for experienced carers)
• Commitmentto our paid 2-week Brilliant @ Basics Training when you start!

What We Offer:

• $34.80 - $36.59 per hour + 12% super + $0.92/km allowance + paid travel time
• Permanent Part-time contracts: 40-50 hours per fortnight + flex up shifts

Your Role

As a valued member of the team, you’ll deliver high-quality, person-centred care and domestic support to older Australians in their homes including:

• Domestic support: cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
• Personal care: showering, grooming, toileting & mobility support
