Job summary

Australian Unity is seeking dedicated carers to support older Australians living independently at home. You’ll provide domestic and personal care, medication assistance, and social support across Umina Beach and surrounding communities.

A current driver’s licence and own car are required, with a minimum of 3 months aged care experience. The role offers permanent part-time contracts (40 hours per fortnight) with paid induction, ongoing training, travel time and a km allowance.

Qualifications

• Must have current Australian Drivers' Licence and own car.
• 3+ months industry experience in a paid Aged Care setting.
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours daily between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, with one weekend per month.

• Personal care: showering, grooming, toileting & mobility support.
• Medication assistance.
• Social support, transport and companionship.

About You

• Live across the Umina Beach area including Blackwall, Booker Bay, Ettalong, Patonga, Pearl Beach and surrounding communities
• Hold a current Australian Drivers' Licence with your own car (no international license's or shared vehicles)
• Have 3+ months industry experience in a paid Aged Care setting
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours a day between 7am to 7pm, Monday to Friday (one weekend per month availability required)
• Commitment to our paid 2-week Brilliant @ Basics Training when you start!

What We Offer

• $34.80 - $36.59 per hour + 12% super + $0.92/km allowance + paid travel time
• Permanent Part-time contracts: 40 hours per fortnight + flex up shift
