Job summary

Australian Unity Limited is seeking compassionate carers to help older Australians in the Gunnedah NSW area live independently at home. Join a supportive team delivering person-centred care and domestic assistance to clients who need help with daily tasks.

You will provide personal care, meal prep, light cleaning, transport and companionship, with shifts 8am–6pm, Mon–Fri, and some weekend rosters for experienced carers. Training is provided upfront.

Qualifications

• Live in the Gunnedah NSW area and surrounding communities.
• Hold a current Australian Driver's Licence with your own car.
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours a day between 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
• Complete the paid 2-week Brilliant @ Basics Training when you start.
• Open to Entry Level & Experienced candidates.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to older Australians in their homes.
• Domestic support: cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.
• Personal care: showering, grooming, toileting & mobility support.
• Medication assistance (where trained).
• Social support, transport and companionship.

About You:

• Live across the Gunnedah NSW area and surrounding communities
• Hold a current Australian Drivers' Licence with your own car (no international license's or shared vehicles)
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours a day between 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (some weekend rosters available for experienced carers)
• Commitmentto our paid 2-week Brilliant @ Basics Training when you start!
• Open to Entry Level & Experienced candidates

What We Offer:

• $32.61 - $36.59 per hour + 12% super + $0.92/km allowance + paid travel time
• Permanent Part-time contracts: 20-50 hours per fortnight + flex up shifts
• Permanent Part-Time opportunities for experienced candidates; Casual entry-level roles available with the potential to transition to Permanent Part-Time employment

Your Role
