Job summary

Australian Unity is seeking carers to support older Australians (65+), helping them live independently at home. You will provide domestic assistance, personal care where needed, and companionship in Young, Harden, Nubba and surrounding areas.

A driver’s license and car are required; reliable transport is essential. The role offers casual contracts for new entrants and 30–40 hours per fortnight plus flex shifts for experienced carers.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Australian driver’s license and own a comprehensively insured car.
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours per day within 8am–6pm across 3–4 weekdays; some weekend rosters may be available for experienced carers.
• Complete our 2-week paid training program.
• Passionate about working in in-home care, with a focus on aged care.

Responsibilities

• Entry-level tasks include cleaning, laundry, meal prep and household support.
• Experienced carers perform personal care (showering, toileting, medications), social support and domestic duties.
• Most importantly, provide companionship and brighten someone's day.

About You

• Live and can support our customers in Young, Harden, Nubba and surrounding areas
• Hold an Australian Driver's Licence and own comprehensively insured car (no international licence/shared vehicles)

What We Offer

• $32.61 - $36.59 p/h + super
• Paid travel time + $0.92 p/km allowance + company phone
• Contract:
• New Entrants: Casual contract
• Experienced Carers (12+ months experience and/or relevant qualification): 30 - 40 hours per fortnight + flex up shifts
