Job summary

Australian Unity Limited is seeking carers to support older Australians (65+) to live independently at home. Entry-level and experienced roles available, with 6 hours per day, 8am–6pm, across 3–4 weekdays, in Batemans Bay, Moruya, Narooma and surrounding areas.

You will join a supportive team, complete a 2-week paid training, and receive a competitive hourly rate plus super. Roles include domestic tasks, personal care for experienced carers, and companionship.

Qualifications

• Live in the Batemans Bay, Moruya or Narooma areas or surrounding areas.
• Hold an Australian Driver's Licence and own comprehensively insured car.
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours per day within 8am–6pm, ideally across 3–4 weekdays.
• Able to complete a 2-week paid training program.
• Passionate about in-home care and aged care.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and support to clients in their homes.
• Domestic assistance including household tasks, cleaning and laundry.
• Personal care for experienced carers (showering, toileting, medications) as needed.
• Provide companionship and brighten clients' days.

• Batemans Bay, Moruya and surrounding areas or
• Narooma and surrounding areas

What We Offer

• Open to entry-level and experienced carers
• $32.61 - $36.59 p/h + super
• Paid travel time + $0.92 p/km allowance + company phone
• Contract:
• New Entrants: Casual contract
• Experienced Carers (12+ months experience and/or relevant qualification): 30 - 40 hours per fortnight + flex up shifts

Your Role

As a valued team member, you'll provide compassionate care and support to clients in their homes. Domestic assistance will form a significant part of your role - this applies to both our entry-level and experienced carers. From helping with household tasks to offering personal support, you'll make a real difference in people's lives every day.

• Entry-level: Cleaning, laundry, meal prep and household support
• Experienced: Personal care (showering, toileting, medications), social support and domestic duties
• Most importantly provide companionship and brighten someone's day
