Job summary

Flexihire Trading as Rapid Equipment Hire in Maroochydore seeks a Hire Controller to deliver exceptional customer service, generate quotes, manage bookings and coordinate deliveries of construction tools and machinery.

You will learn machinery from hand tools to large rollers, liaise with workshop mechanics, and contribute to a growth-focused team while handling loading, unloading, and occasional site deliveries.

Qualifications

• Forklift license and White Card are preferred but not essential.
• Experience in Hire/Construction or Civil is advantageous.
• Proven ability to work in a team and autonomously.
• Strong time management and scheduling skills.

Flexihire Trading as Rapid Equipment Hire are a well-established company that hires construction tools and machines in general building and civil industries. We currently have a vacancy for an Hire Controller to join our team. This role is based at our head office in Kunda Park Maroochydore and reports directly to the front office.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role include:

Provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers.

Generate quotes, provide pricing and availability to clients and make booking of hire equipment.

Support a culture of upselling at every opportunity.

Co-ordinate deliveries and pick ups.

Learn about machinery from small hand tools to large compaction rollers & more.

Co-ordinating, assisting and liaising with mechanics in the workshop.

Introduction intoagrowing career opportunity.

Assisting customers with loading and unloading equipment as well as the occasional delivery to customer sites

About You

You must possess a strong sense of urgency with an"I will make it happen"attitude to get the job done.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

A valid Forklift license and White Card is preferred but not essential

Previous experience or knowledge of Hire/Construction or Civil would bean advantage

A proven ability to both work as part of a team and to work autonomously

Time management skills including the ability to plan and schedule in accordance with changes in priorities

Some interest or knowledge or mechanics and construction equipment

Excellent driving / safety record and has previous experience making deliveries and towing/reversing trailers or equipment

Is reliable and punctual and has excellent work ethics

Is capable of performing some heavy lifting, physical activities

Can work overtime, including weekends when needed
