Embedded HR seeks an experienced regional operations leader for a fast‑growing Australian QSR group. Based in Melbourne, you’ll oversee Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia, partnering with senior leaders to build a high‑performing regional team and drive profitable operations across multiple brands.
You’ll coach Growth & Support Managers, travel to franchises, and ensure food quality, service and safety standards while supporting openings and regional growth initiatives.
You’ve built strong experience leading restaurant operations and developing teams. Whether you’re ready for a step up or finding limited room to progress in your current organisation, this role offers regional ownership and the potential to develop into national operations leadership.
One of Australia’s fastest growing QSR food retail groups is expanding its operations leadership team. With more than 160 restaurants, established and emerging brands, and a strong pipeline of new openings, the business is investing in the people and capability to support its next stage of growth.
Based in Melbourne, you’ll lead restaurant operations across Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia. Working directly with senior leadership, you’ll develop the regional field management team and help franchise partners deliver consistently great food, welcoming service and profitable businesses.
This is a hands‑on leadership role with responsibility for regional standards, people and commercial performance.
You’ll lead, coach and develop Growth & Support Managers, building capability, accountability and consistent ways of working. Spending time in restaurants alongside your team, including during peak trading periods, you’ll understand performance firsthand and help turn opportunities into practical improvements.
Hospitality is central to the role. You’ll champion the food quality, service and customer experience that bring people back, supported by consistently high standards of food safety, cleanliness and presentation.
You’ll drive sales growth and help franchise partners improve profitability through practical action on labour, food costs, waste and restaurant performance. Building trusted relationships will be essential, combining constructive support with clear expectations and follow-through.
Working across training, marketing, supply and development, you’ll help deliver initiatives, support successful restaurant openings and ensure the regional network is ready for continued growth.
You’re a restaurant operations leader with a strong hospitality background and experience leading other operational managers across a multi‑site network.
Ideally, you combine QSR or fast‑casual restaurant experience with the hospitality instincts developed in restaurant, casual dining or pub groups. You understand both the discipline needed to run a consistent network and the food, service and atmosphere that bring customers back.
You will have led Area Managers, Field Managers, Regional Managers or equivalent operational leaders, with responsibility across multiple states. You know how to set expectations, develop people and deliver results through others.
Commercially confident, you can translate restaurant P&Ls, labour, food cost and sales data into practical improvements. You bring a record of lifting restaurant standards, customer experience and business performance, together with the confidence to address underperformance and follow through on commitments.
Franchise network experience is highly regarded, particularly the ability to influence and support business owners. Candidates from company‑operated restaurant groups with strong hospitality and operational leadership experience are also encouraged to apply.
You may be an accomplished State or Regional Operations Manager ready for broader responsibility. You don’t need to have held a Head of Operations title, but you will bring the judgement, capability and ambition to keep developing.
You’ll take ownership of a substantial region, work directly with senior leadership and broaden your experience across a growing multi‑brand restaurant group.
For someone who demonstrates the capability and delivers results, there is potential to progress towards national operations leadership as the business develops.
The role is Melbourne‑based and requires regular regional and interstate travel, including overnight stays, with evening and weekend availability as required to support restaurant operations.
