Job summary

Rydges Sydney Airport is seeking a Casual Guest Service Agent to join our front desk team and be the face of the hotel, delivering warm, memorable service from arrival to departure.

The role requires 1+ year of GSA experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple requests with a smile. You will collaborate with multiple departments to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a GSA in a hotel or similar role.
• Proven ability to deliver warm, professional, and efficient guest service
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in front office operations including check-in/out and handling guest accounts.
• Ability to build strong relationships with other departments in the hotel
• The ability to deal with multiple requests at once and maintain a high level of service.
• Familiarity with reservation systems and booking procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service by anticipating needs, providing warm welcomes and farewells, and promptly responding to requests, messages, and concerns.
• Manage guest arrivals and departures efficiently, including accurate check-in/check-out, cashiering, daily transactions, and opening/closing duties in line with hotel procedures.
• Coordinate closely with Housekeeping, Reservations, Maintenance, and other teams to ensure rooms, special requests, and guest expectations are fully met.
• Maintain accurate reservations, room rates, packages, and local area knowledge to confidently assist guests and maximise service quality.
• Uphold hotel policies, WH&S standards, training requirements, and equipment care while maintaining a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
