Job summary

The Star Sydney is seeking a Front Office Agent to be at the heart of our guest experiences, handling check-ins and check-outs, assisting with bookings, and processing payments with precision. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will deliver world-class service, build memorable connections with guests and support smooth hotel operations across reservations and guest services.

Qualifications

• Extensive guest service experience in Front Office/Guest Services.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with sound knowledge of hotel check-in systems (Opera highly regarded).
• Ability to speak a second language (highly regarded but not essential).
• Sound knowledge of the local area and surrounds.
• Excellent grooming and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by responding to guest request promptly, efficiently and courteously during check in, check out and throughout their stay.
• Answer all correspondence and enquiries regarding reservation requests either via the phone or email in a timely manner
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and ensuring procedures are followed in relation to guest confidentiality and company policies
• Take personal responsibility and initiative for any tasks as required such as securing payments and issue room keys to assure guest satisfaction
• Maintain procedures in relation to credit and cash transactions and relevant charges to guest accounts.
