Job summary

Tony White Group in New South Wales is seeking an experienced Group Service Manager to lead a large, multi-brand service operation representing seven automotive franchises. This senior role oversees performance, profitability and customer experience across the service network.

You will provide strong leadership to the service management team, drive standards, and ensure each franchise delivers against OEM, warranty and customer objectives.

Qualifications

• Significant automotive service management experience across multiple brands or franchises.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive financial performance.
• Proven track record leading and developing service teams.
• Knowledge of workshop operations, productivity, WIP, warranties and OEM standards.
• Excellent communication, problem solving and customer resolution skills.
• Experience using service management systems and data to steer decisions.
• Visible, practical leadership style and ability to build high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Service Managers and their teams across the group.
• Drive service department profitability, productivity, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee workshop capacity, workflow, WIP and operational performance.
• Monitor KPIs and implement actions to improve performance.
• Ensure each franchise meets OEM customer satisfaction, warranty and standards.
• Support managers in resolving complex customer concerns and escalations.
• Maintain high standards of WHS, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Build leadership capability through recruitment, coaching, performance management and succession planning.
• Collaborate with Parts, Sales and senior management to meet broader business objectives.
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement across the service operation.
