Job summary

Caloundra RSL Services Club is seeking a Functions Supervisor (Part-time) to oversee daily Functions & Events operations on-site at our Caloundra venue. You will lead the function floor, coordinate staff, and ensure service standards align with our community-focused club.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years in a similar hospitality leadership position, RSA certification, and the ability to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role with leadership experience.
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
• Strong knowledge of hospitality operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively.
• Flexible roster availability, including nights and weekend shifts.
• Team player with demonstrated leadership.

Who we are looking for:

Functions Supervisor oversees daily operations, coordinates staff activities, ensures procedures are followed and supports the team to achieve performance and safety targets.

• Reporting to the Functions and Events Manager of the venue, this role will oversee the floor operations of all functions and events

• Supervise the function business in a hands-on capacity on a daily basis, including set ups & pack downs

• Working with the Functions and Events Manager to provide leadership and coaching to all function service staff

• Achieve high levels of customer service and manage customer relations to encourage return business

• Leading and effectively communicating with a team of staff

• In the absence of management, follow up all customer enquiries in relation to new function bookings, tours of the venue, conduct meetings and relay all relevant function information as per organisational procedure.

Pre-requisites:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and guide teams toward achieving organizational goals

• Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate (RSA)

• A strong knowledge of hospitality operations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Have the ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively

• A team player attitude with demonstrated leadership skills

• Ability to work a flexible roster including nights and weekend shifts
