Job summary

Caloundra RSL Club in Caloundra is seeking a Senior Functions Attendant to deliver outstanding customer service and support the smooth operation of events. You will set up, serve, and clear function spaces, assist guests, and help coordinate Functions Attendants during events.

Qualifications

• RSA certificate required.
• Certificate II in Hospitality Operations or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years experience in Functions Service in the Hospitality Industry.
• Availability across 7 days (weekends & public holidays)

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare, set up and pack down function spaces per event requirements.
• Provide front-of-house, bar and meal service to a high professional standard.
• Attend to assigned areas and service requirements, ensuring efficiency.
• Direct and assist Functions Attendants during functions, assigning tasks as needed.
• Lead by example in customer service, presentation and cleanliness.
• Escalate operational issues to the Functions Supervisor when required and assist with smooth delivery of functions.
• Maintain a professional approach with clients, guests and team members.
• Comply with WHS, food safety and RSA requirements.

Caloundra RSL Club is looking for experienced and passionate team player to join us as a Senior Functions Attendant to deliver outstanding customer service.

A Senior Functions Attendant is responsible for setting up, servicing, and clearing event spaces for functions. The role includes arranging furniture and equipment, assisting guests during events, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring all service standards are met to deliver a smooth and professional experience.

Senior Functions Attendant independently support the preparation and delivery of functions, providing high-quality service while assisting with the coordination of Functions Attendants during events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently prepare, set up and pack down function spaces in accordance with event requirements.
• Provide front-of-house, bar and meal service to a high professional standard.
• Attend to assigned areas or service requirements and ensure they are completed efficiently.
• Direct and assist Functions Attendants during functions, allocating tasks and providing guidance as required.
• Lead by example in customer service, presentation, cleanliness, food safety, and workplace safety.
• Identify and respond to operational issues during functions, escalating matters to the Functions Supervisor when required.Assist the Functions Supervisor with the smooth and efficient delivery of functions.
• Maintain a professional and positive approach when working with clients, guests and team members.
• Comply with all workplace health and safety, food safety and responsible service requirements.

Pre-requisites:

• Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate (RSA)
• Certificate II in Hospitality Operations or equivalent experience
• 1 – 2 years experience in Functions Service in the Hospitality Industry
• Have good availability across 7 days (weekends & Public Holidays)
