Job summary

Catering HQ is seeking a Functions and Events Operations Supervisor to help run functions and events at the Cronulla RSL. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our talented and passionate team.

You will lead the functions team, manage setup to pack down, and deliver exceptional service while building rapport with clients and guests. Our family-run brand values excellence and collaboration, with ongoing training and a friendly, professional environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong leadership and customer service focus.
• Exposure to rostering and people development.
• Exceptional attention to detail and presentation.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Confident, proactive and able to take charge.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with co-workers and management to solve problems and improve quality and service.
• Work with the team to execute a variety of functions and events for our customers.
• Initiate dialogue and develop rapport with customers by learning their names, favourite drinks and food items.
• Understand and anticipate customer needs and aim to exceed these requirements.
• Provide exceptional quality, consistent service throughout the event.
• Lead the team to work efficiently, ensuring perfect execution of the event from set up to pack down.
• Set up and pack down of function spaces.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Communicate with co-workers and management to solve problems and improve quality and service
• Work with the team to execute a variety of functions and events for our customers
• Initiate dialogue and develop rapport with customers by learning their names, favourite drinks and food items
• Understand and anticipate customer needs and aim to exceed these requirements
• Provide exceptional quality, consistent service throughout the event
• Assist in reaching business goals and objectives as set out by management
• Set up and pack down of function spaces
• Lead the team to work efficiently, ensuring perfect execution of the event from set up to pack down

KEY QUALITIES:

• Must have a minimum of 1-2 years' experience a similar role
