Job summary

Hyatt Hotel Canberra is seeking a passionate, guest-focused Guest Service Officer to join our Front Office team. You will create a welcoming experience for guests, handle calls and inquiries, and assist with check-in and check-out, delivering memorable service in a heritage-inspired setting.

The role offers opportunities to resolve guest concerns, provide local area knowledge, and contribute to signature experiences in a vibrant capital hotel's operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Hospitality or Tourism Management desirable.
• Knowledge of Opera property management system desirable.
• Prior Travel/Hotel industry knowledge highly regarded.
• Ability to work under pressure; thrives in a guest-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation of the Front Office on a day-to-day basis.
• Handle internal and external phone calls, relaying messages with proficiency.
• Operate the telephone switchboard.
• Handle guest enquiries and requests with knowledge of Canberra and surrounding areas.
• Receive Room Service orders and relay to Kitchen and team promptly.
• Process guest arrivals and departures with smooth check-in/check-out.

Skills
