Cabana Bar is seeking a Floor Manager to lead the service on Sydney CBD's largest outdoor terrace. You will be the face of the venue during shifts, driving guest experience and team energy with hands-on leadership.

Ideal candidates bring strong hospitality skills and the ability to upsell cocktails, premium drinks and food while coaching the team for consistent, engaging service. The role emphasises visible leadership with minimal admin tasks.

Role

The Floor Manager is the face of Cabana Bar during service - the person guests remember, the energy that sets the tone, and the leader who makes every shift feel like the best one yet. Sydney CBD's largest outdoor terrace is entering an exciting new chapter, and we're looking for someone who can lead from the floor and bring the Cabana Time energy to every guest, every shift.

This is a floor-focused leadership role, with minimal administrative responsibility. The focus is on being visible, engaging with guests, coaching the team, and maximising every service opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Floor Leadership

• Lead the floor during service and set the standard for warm, confident hospitality
• Welcome guests, manage the flow of the terrace and ensure every table feels personally looked after
• Build relationships with regulars and create memorable experiences that keep guests coming back
• Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally
• Maintain the energy, pace and atmosphere of the venue throughout service
• Drive revenue through genuine, knowledgeable and confident service
• Lead the team in upselling cocktails, premium drinks, food and additional experiences
• Identify opportunities to increase spend through recommendations and guest engagement
• Monitor table spend, beverage sales and overall service performance
• Lead by example by actively engaging guests and making recommendations
• Brief and motivate the team before each service
• Coach staff on service standards, product knowledge and selling techniques
• Stay present on the floor and provide real-time feedback and support
• Recognise strong performance and address service issues immediately
• Help create a positive, energetic and accountable service culture

Operations

• Work closely with the kitchen and bar to ensure smooth, seamless service
• Monitor bookings, table flow and guest pacing across the terrace
• Support opening and closing procedures without becoming heavily involved in back-office administration
• Escalate larger operational or staffing issues to senior management

Ideal Candidate

• Strong natural hospitality and guest engagement skills
• Confident selling cocktails, premium drinks and food
• Energetic, personable and comfortable being the centre of the floor
• Strong understanding of service flow and team leadership
• Commercially aware without making the guest experience feel transactional
• Enjoys coaching people and leading by example
• Organised enough to manage the essentials, but primarily a hands-on floor operator
