Job summary

Transport for NSW seeks a hands-on Supervisor Ferry Operations to lead the safe, reliable and efficient delivery of ferry services across nine crossings in NSW. You will oversee a team of about 85 staff and provide leadership to four Supervisors while ensuring regulatory compliance and service quality.

You’ll drive safety culture, manage incidents and service disruptions, and coordinate 24/7 rostering and workforce planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe, reliable and efficient delivery of ferry operations across nine ferry crossings throughout NSW.
• Provide leadership and support to four Supervisors and a workforce of approximately 85 employees.
• Foster a strong safety culture and manage operational safety, incidents and service disruptions.
• Oversee 24/7 workforce planning and rostering to ensure adequate coverage.
• Manage customer complaints and stakeholder enquiries with professional, customer-focused outcomes.
• Coordinate with Ferry Maintenance Management Team, external providers and other managers to meet service delivery objectives.
• Monitor compliance with maritime legislation and operational requirements.
• Manage HR issues, industrial relations and staff development & training.
