Avani Cypress Lakes Resort is seeking a service-driven Food & Beverage Team Leader for a full-time role. You will lead a small F&B team, oversee daily service across breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts, and mentor staff to maintain high standards.

The role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences, rostering, and ensuring RSA, hygiene, and safety compliance. A friendly, proactive attitude is essential for success in a dynamic resort environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, or mentoring a team in a hospitality environment.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality guest service consistently.
• Professional presentation and strong communication skills.
• Reliability and flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
• Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the F&B team to ensure professional, efficient, and high-quality service.
• Assist with taking guest orders accurately and ensuring guest preferences are accommodated.
• Demonstrate menu knowledge and confidently recommend food and beverage options to guests.
• Oversee the serving of food and beverages, maintaining professional standards and guest satisfaction.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns promptly.
• Coach and mentor team members, providing guidance, support, and training as required.
• Assist with rostering, shift coordination, and workflow planning to maintain smooth operations.
• Ensure compliance with RSA, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.
• Support management with reporting, stock management, and service improvement initiatives.
