Job summary

The Star Brisbane is seeking an Administration Assistant to join our Food & Beverage and Events team. You’ll be the information hub, handling guest inquiries, dining reservations and small functions, while supporting onboarding and communications to keep the team running smoothly.

Reporting to the General Manager Food & Beverage and Events, you’ll work closely with venue leaders and guests in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Business Administration qualification and Opera knowledge are advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest and stakeholder enquiries and assist with dining reservations and small functions.
• Attend venue marketing and activation meetings and support stakeholders.
• Provide general administrative support: correspondence, filing, call screening, minuting meetings, reception duties.
• Coordinate new hires and onboarding of new team members.
• Assist with team member transfers, terminations and payroll queries.
• Manage departmental communications via email and heart-of-house boards.
• Oversee purchasing, payments and invoicing end-to-end, including issuing invoices and balancing accounts.
• Collate reports and performance metrics for management.
• Maintain accurate confidential records and tidy office space.
• Deliver exceptional client and guest service at every touchpoint.
