Job description

Love meeting people, organising events and making things happen?

We're looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing and organised Event Coordinator to join our growing team in Sydney.

If you're someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy environment and loves seeing an event come together, this could be a great opportunity for you.

This is a hands-on, people-focused role where you'll help organise and deliver a variety of events, promotional activities and client engagement initiatives.

From networking functions and client events to promotional campaigns and business activities, you'll be involved in making sure everything runs smoothly while creating a great experience for our guests and clients.

About the Role

As our Event Coordinator, you'll work closely with our events, sales and business teams to plan, coordinate and deliver events across different business divisions.

You'll be involved in event preparation, logistics, guest engagement, on-site coordination and post-event follow-ups.

This is a customer-facing role, so you'll spend time interacting with clients, welcoming guests, building relationships and representing the business at events.

You'll also support promotional activities and business development initiatives connected to our events.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Assist with planning, organising and delivering client events, networking functions, promotional activities and business events.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including venues, suppliers, catering, equipment, schedules and registrations.
  • Attend events, welcome guests and help create a positive and professional experience.
  • Engage with clients and prospective customers, answer enquiries and build relationships.
  • Support event-based sales, promotional campaigns and lead generation activities.
  • Assist with event invitations, guest lists, registrations and attendee communications.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure events meet business objectives.
  • Coordinate event materials, presentations, signage and promotional collateral.
  • Liaise with venues, suppliers and external partners to ensure events run smoothly.
  • Assist with event budgets, timelines and operational requirements.
  • Maintain accurate event records, client information and CRM updates.
  • Support post-event follow-ups, feedback collection and reporting.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve future events and client experiences.
What We're Looking For

You don't need years of events experience to succeed in this role. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, has great organisational skills and is keen to learn.

Ideally, you'll bring:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A friendly, confident and professional approach when interacting with clients and guests.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
  • Confidence working independently and as part of a team.
  • An interest in events, promotions, sales and customer engagement.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Flexibility to attend events outside standard business hours when required.

Previous experience in events, hospitality, customer service, sales or promotions would be an advantage, but is not essential. Qualifications in event management, business, marketing or communications are welcome but not required.

Why Join Us?
  • Gain hands-on experience: Be involved in planning, coordinating and delivering real events.
  • Meet new people: Work directly with clients, business partners and different teams.
  • Enjoy variety: Get involved in different events, campaigns and activities.
  • Develop your skills: Build experience in event coordination, customer engagement, communication and business development.
  • Learn from experienced professionals: Work with a supportive team and develop your confidence.
  • Career opportunities: Gain valuable experience and take on more responsibility as you grow.
