Job summary

St Vincent's Private Hospital Toowoomba is seeking a Waiting List Officer to manage elective surgery waiting lists from a clerical perspective, coordinating with Surgical Liaison Nurses and external providers to ensure patients are prepared for procedures.

The role requires healthcare administration experience, proficiency with PAS and Microsoft Office, strong organization, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in administration in a healthcare role.
• Experience with patient administration systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and hospital workflows.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process waiting list forms from clinics and Health Service Partnership sites.
• Accurately create, record and update the Waiting List Screen on PAS.
• Contact patients and schedule admission for procedures.
• Schedule pre-admission and related clinics and investigations as required.
