Job summary

St Vincent’s Health Australia in Melbourne is seeking a Waiting List Officer to manage the Elective Surgery Waiting List from a clerical perspective and support surgical teams. You will ensure patients are prepared for their elective procedures and coordinate with S LN staff.

Key duties include processing forms, updating the PAS Waiting List Screen, contacting patients to schedule admissions, and arranging pre-admission and related clinics.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in administration in a healthcare role.
• Experience with patient administration systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, MS Teams, SharePoint and Excel.
• Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process waiting list forms from specialist clinics, private rooms and other areas within the DHHS policy timeframes.
• Accurately create, record and update the Waiting List Screen on PAS as required.
• Contact patients and schedule admission for procedures.
• Schedule pre-admission and related clinics and investigations as requested by the SLN or unit.
