Job summary

St Vincent's Health Australia Limited in Fitzroy, Melbourne is seeking a Waiting List Officer to manage elective surgery waiting lists from a clerical perspective, coordinating with Surgical Liaison Nurses to ensure patients are prepared for procedures.

The role involves processing forms, updating the PAS waiting list, contacting patients, and scheduling admissions and related clinics, with a fixed-term full-time contract until June 2027.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in administration in a healthcare role.
• Experience with patient administration systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, MS Teams, SharePoint and Excel.
• Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process waiting list forms from specialist clinics, private rooms and other areas of St Vincent's within stipulated time frame as per DHHS Elective Surgery Access Policy.
• Accurately create, record and update the Waiting List Screen on PAS as required.
• Contact patients and schedule admission for procedures.
• Schedule appointments (pre-admission, anaesthetic, PMU clinics) as requested by SLN or unit.
