Job summary

St Vincent's Private Hospital Brisbane in Melbourne, VIC is seeking a Waiting List Officer to manage the Planned Surgery Waiting List from a clerical perspective, aligning with DHHS policy. You will support the Surgical Liaison Nurses to ensure patients are prepared for planned procedures and maintain accurate PAS records.

The role involves processing forms, scheduling admissions, and coordinating pre-admission activities, with a pro rata salary range and additional shift allowances.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in administration in a healthcare role.
• Experience with patient administration systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process waiting list forms from specialist clinics, private rooms and other areas of St Vincent's within stipulated DHHS policy.
• Accurately create, record and update the Waiting List Screen on PAS as required.
• Contact patients and schedule admission for procedures.
• Schedule any clinics and investigations as requested by the SLN or unit.
