Job summary

St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne in Melbourne is seeking a Waiting List Officer to manage elective surgery waiting lists from a clerical perspective in line with DHHS policy.

You will receive forms from clinics and update the PAS waiting list, contact patients, and schedule admissions and pre-admission appointments. The role offers a fixed-term, full-time contract (Monday to Friday) ending June 2027, with salary in HS1–HS17 band and pro rata.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in administration in a healthcare role.
• Experience with patient administration systems.
• Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process waiting list forms from clinics, private rooms and other areas.
• Accurately create, record and update the Waiting List Screen on PAS.
• Contact patients and schedule admissions for procedures.
• Schedule pre-admission and related clinics as requested by SLN or unit.
