Job summary

St Mary's Long Day Care & Kindergarten in Upper Coomera (Coomera QLD) is seeking a casual Educator passionate about early childhood education. Join a nurturing team delivering a Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten Program for children in the year before Prep, caring for up to 75 children.

The role focuses on creating fun, inclusive learning experiences, a safe environment, and collaboration with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Hold or are working towards a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA approved equivalent.
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain).
• Mandatory Child Protection training; knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality frameworks.
• Passion for education and care of children aged 6 weeks to Kindergarten in a play-based environment.
• Effective workplace communication skills.

We're currently seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing casual Educator to join our team, a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and enjoys creating a fun, engaging, and caring environment for children.

Conveniently located at Assisi College, we provide care and education for children from six weeks of age and offer a Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten Program for children in the year before Prep, catering for up to 75 children.

Key Responsibilities:

Job Requirements:

• Hold (or are working towards) a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA approved equivalent
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Mandatory Child Protection (Geccko) Course 1 & 2 - Course 3 & 4 optional but highly regarded
• Knowledge and understanding of childcare industry practices including legislative requirements and quality frameworks
• A passion for the education and care of children aged 6 weeks to Kindergarten age in a play-based learning environment
• Effective workplace communication skills
