Job summary

Catholic Early EdCare is seeking a casual Educator for St Mary's Long Day Care & Kindergarten in Upper Coomera. The role focuses on delivering a warm, engaging, play-based program for children from six weeks to Kindergarten age.

You will collaborate with a supportive team, support children's growth and safety, and contribute to a positive learning environment while aligning with CEEC’s educational philosophy and expectations.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA approved equivalent.
• Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
• First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain).
• Mandatory Child Protection (Geccko) Course 1 & 2; Course 3 & 4 optional but highly regarded.
• Knowledge of childcare industry practices including legislative requirements and quality frameworks.
• Passion for education and care of children aged 6 weeks to Kindergarten in a play-based environment.
• Effective workplace communication skills.

Join Our Team at St Mary's Long Day Care & Kindergarten, Upper Coomera!

We're currently seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing casual Educator to join our team, a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and enjoys creating a fun, engaging, and caring environment for children.

Conveniently located at Assisi College, we provide care and education for children from six weeks of age and offer a Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten Program for children in the year before Prep, catering for up to 75 children.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with children to create fun, inclusive recreational and educational experiences that support their wellbeing
• Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment
• Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
• Promote the service within the local community in accordance with Catholic Early EdCare's expectations and educational philosophy
• Play a pivotal role in developing children's lifelong love of learning
• Build strong rapport with families, educators, and the wider community
• Participate actively in professional and personal development

Job Requirements

• Hold (or are working towards) a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA approved equivalent
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
