Job summary

Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane is seeking a warm Inclusion Support Educator to join Star of the Sea Long Day Care & Kindy in Wondunna, QLD. This casual/temporary role focuses on targeted support to children with additional needs. You will work alongside educators, families and professionals to foster participation, belonging and learning through play-based activities, with approx.

25 hours per week. Applicants should have Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and a

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
• Experience supporting children with additional needs or inclusion support favored.
• Understanding of inclusive practices and individualised support strategies.
• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and relevant legislation.
• Training courses 1 & 2 (Geccko) completed; courses 3 & 4 advantageous.

To Be Successful, You Will Have

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent.
• Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
• Experience supporting children with additional needs or inclusion support, highly regarded.
• Understanding of inclusive practices and individualised support strategies.
• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and relevant legislation.
• Completion of National Safeguarding (Geccko) Training Courses 1 & 2 required; Courses 3 & 4 highly regarded.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Calm, patient and compassionate approach.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families and other professionals.
• Passion for creating inclusive environments where every child can participate, belong and thrive.
