Job summary

Catholic Early EdCare is seeking an OSHC Educator to join St Joseph's OSHC in Nambour. You will provide warm, nurturing care across before, after and vacation care, creating a safe, welcoming environment and designing inclusive activities that engage children.

You will work with an established team to supervise children, plan age-appropriate activities, and help deliver excursions and events. A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and a current Blue Card are required.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Hold a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA approved equivalent).
  • Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
  • First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain).
  • Mandatory Child Protection (Geccko) Course 1 & 2 — Course 3 & 4 optional but highly regarded.
  • Experience in an inclusion support role or a Certificate III in Individual Support is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Engage and supervise children in a safe and supportive manner during before and after school care sessions.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to promote learning, creativity, and social development.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Maintain a clean and organised OSHC environment.
