Job summary

St Mary's Long Day Care & Kindergarten, Upper Coomera, operated by Catholic Early EdCare, is seeking a casual Educator who is passionate about early childhood education. You will support children aged 6 weeks to Kindergarten with play-based activities, supervision, and nurturing care.

You will work with a supportive team, participate in ongoing professional development, and help promote our centre within the local community. Queensland Blue Card and current First Aid/CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Hold (or be working towards) a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or an ACECQA approved equivalent.
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain).
• Mandatory Child Protection (Geccko) Course 1 & 2; Course 3 & 4 optional but highly regarded.

Join Our Team at St Mary's Long Day Care & Kindergarten, Upper Coomera!

We're currently seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing casual Educator to join our team, a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and enjoys creating a fun, engaging, and caring environment for children.

Conveniently located at Assisi College, we provide care and education for children from six weeks of age and offer a Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten Program for children in the year before Prep, catering for up to 75 children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with children to create fun, inclusive recreational and educational experiences that support their wellbeing
• Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment
• Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
• Promote the service within the local community in accordance with Catholic Early EdCare's expectations and educational philosophy
• Play a pivotal role in developing children's lifelong love of learning
• Build strong rapport with families, educators, and the wider community
• Participate actively in professional and personal development

Job Requirements:

• Hold (or are working towards) a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA approved equivalent
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Mandatory Child Protection (Geccko) Course 1 & 2 — Course 3 & 4 optional but highly regarded
• Knowledge and understanding of childcare industry practices including legislative requirements and quality frameworks
• A passion for the education and care of children aged 6 weeks to Kindergarten age in a play-based learning environment
• Effective workplace communication skills
