Job summary

Source Central Partners seeks an experienced Onsite Support Technician to back a northern/southern Melbourne school, acting as the on-site face of the IT team and collaborating with remote desk and account management to resolve issues promptly.

The role requires 5+ years in IT support, strong customer service, and the ability to engage with school leadership. A Victorian Working with Children Check is mandatory or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in IT support or desktop support.
• Experience in a school/education environment is valuable.
• Ability to manage competing priorities during busy periods.
• Strong customer service and ability to communicate with non-technical users.
• On-site autonomy with reliable vehicle and timely attendance.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support for desktops, laptops, printers, and classroom tech.
• Troubleshoot Windows 10/11, MS Office, and school BAU apps.
• Support Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and mobile platforms.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting (LAN/WAN).
• Document work clearly in ticketing system and adhere to SLAs.
• Maintain asset registers and assist with device lifecycle planning.
• Assist with AV and classroom technology and participate in planning discussions.
