Job summary

The Sydney Park Hotel, following a huge renovation, is reopening with two brand-new levels, a pool hall and a rooftop beer garden. We are seeking a hands-on, energetic hospitality leader to drive this exciting new chapter and shape the venue’s ongoing development.

You’ll lead on the floor, build a strong team, recruit and train staff, and oversee venue reporting, F&B operations and menu development, with ample opportunity for growth.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' management experience in a hospitality venue.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations.
• Hands-on leadership with presence on the floor.
• Experience training, motivating and managing teams.
• Ability to navigate venue systems, reporting and operations.

The Sydney Park Hotel has been a working-class local for decades — the place for a quiet schooner after work or a few locally brewed lagers with mates. Oh, and we love to pour a cracking Guinness!

Following a huge renovation, we’ve reopened with two brand-new levels, a pool hall and a rooftop beer garden, and we’re looking for a Duty Manager to help us take this exciting new chapter to the next level.

The Role

We’re looking for ahands-on, energetic hospitality leaderwho thrives in a fast-paced, vibrant venue.

Our managers are more than shift runners. You’ll be a leader on the floor, building a strong team, creating genuine connections with our patrons and helping shape the ongoing development of the venue.

You’ll be involved across the business — fromteam leadership, recruitment and training to venue reporting, F&B operations and menu development— with plenty of opportunity to grow with us.

You’ll bring:

• 2+ years’ management experience in a similar hospitality venue
• Strong food & beverage knowledge
• A hands-on leadership style and genuine presence on the floor
• Experience training, motivating and performance-managing teams
• Confidence with venue systems, reporting and business operations
• Flexibility to work peak service periods, including nights and weekends
• A genuine passion for hospitality and a desire to build a career in the industry
• A commitment to deliveringexceptional service and memorable guest experiences
• Experience in agaming venue preferred but not required as full training will be provided (RCG essential)
