The Tollgate Hotel in North Parramatta is seeking a Casual Duty Manager with knowledge in venue operations, gaming, food & beverage, and people management. You will lead a team across bar, gaming, events and dining, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and a strong, positive culture.

The Tollgate Hotel is our newest multifaceted venue in North Parramatta. It includes a Sports bar, a thriving bistro operation, a Beer Garden, Event facilities as well as Gaming and TAB operations. We are searching for a casual duty manager with knowledge in venue operations, gaming, food, beverage, and people management. The role is suited to someone who has a passion for hospitality and can demonstrate how to lead the team and be an integral part of taking it to the next level.

This is a casual position that includes days, nights, public holidays, and weekend work. A healthy work/life balance isencouraged.

The Role

• Leading a medium sized team and ensuring they are consistently delivering a quality customer experience
• Setting the example for your team and driving a strong positive culture
• Maintaining cost controls as well as working with the team on sales-driving initiatives
• Overseeing all bar, gaming, event and food service whilst on shift.

Successful candidates will possess:

• A strong focus on maintaining and driving service standards whilst increasinggrowth and return visitationto the venue
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have a hands-on management style
• A customer focus, always aiming to provide exceptional customer service
• A solid background in all facets of hotel operations, including gaming, F&B, functions & cellar areas
• The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
• Excellent personal presentation and communication skills
