Job summary

Piermount is relaunching The Unley in Adelaide and seeks an experienced Duty Manager to lead all aspects of daily venue operations across bar, dining and gaming. You will drive guest experiences, coach teams, and ensure compliance and safety on a rotating 7-day roster.

RSA and RP badges are essential; experience in hotels, pubs or hospitality venues is required. This full-time role offers opportunities for growth within our expanding group and a supportive, people-focused team environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Duty Manager, Supervisor or similar leadership role within a hotel, pub or hospitality venue.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with a positive, approachable attitude.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and make confident decisions under pressure.
  • Experience working across food, beverage and gaming operations.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • RSA and RP Badge essential; Gaming Manager's badge preferred; RSG and H&L experience highly regarded.
  • Availability to work a flexible 7-day roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays.

The Unley is entering an exciting new chapter, with Piermount proudly taking over operations from 28 September. As we prepare to relaunch and grow this inner metropolitan boutique community venue, we're looking to add passionate hospitality professionals to an already established team.

We're on the lookout for an experienced Duty Manager who leads from the front and is passionate about creating outstanding guest experiences.

About the Role

As Duty Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the venue, ensuring exceptional service, strong team performance, and seamless venue operations across all departments.

You'll lead by example on shift, support and develop your team, and ensure compliance, presentation, and service standards are consistently met.

This is a full-time position working across a rotating 7-day roster, including days, nights, weekends and public holidays.

What You’ll Be Doing:

About You

You're a hospitality professional who enjoys being part of a busy venue, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, and can confidently lead a team through high-volume service periods.

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience in a Duty Manager, Supervisor or similar leadership role within a hotel, pub or hospitality venue

Strong customer service and communication skills with a positive, approachable attitude

Proven ability to lead teams and make confident decisions under pressure

Experience working across food, beverage and gaming operations

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

RSA and RP Badge essential

Gaming Manager's badge preferred; RSG and H&L experience highly regarded

Availability to work a flexible 7-day roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays

A genuine desire to learn, develop and build a long-term hospitality career
