Job summary

Melba Support Services is seeking a Disability Support Worker to provide person-centered support across SIL and related services in Melbourne. You will help people live meaningful, self-directed lives with tailored assistance that promotes independence, choice and control.

The role supports a range of services and requires empathy, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and with a team, across mornings, afternoons and weekends.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working with Children Check
• Australian Driver Licence
• Willingness to complete pre-employment screening and ongoing compliance

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered support to enable independence and life skills
• Assist with community participation, activities and daily living
• Deliver practical day-to-day support including personal care as required
• Support health and wellbeing, including medication assistance where authorised
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver safe, high-quality, person-led support
