Job summary

Melba Support Services is seeking a casual Disability Support Worker to empower people with disability to live independently and with choice. You’ll support across SIL, ISA and community programs, adapting supports to individual goals and preferences.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Current Working with Children Check
• A current Australian Driver Licence
• Availability to work a range of shifts including weekends and active nights

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to help people build independence and life skills
• Assist participation in community, recreational, educational and employment activities
• Deliver practical daily living support, including personal care when required
• Support health and wellbeing, including medication assistance where authorised
• Build positive relationships with supported individuals, families and networks
• Maintain accurate documentation and records and work with teams to ensure quality care
