Job summary

Melba Support Services in Victoria is seeking a part-time Disability Support Worker to assist people with disability across SIL, ISA, STA and other supports. You will tailor support to individual goals, promote independence and participation in daily activities.

A genuine commitment to person-centred practice and human rights is essential. No prior disability experience is required, though we value empathy, reliability and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability not required but preferred.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check required or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to build independence and life skills.
• Assist participation in community, educational, recreational, and employment activities.
• Deliver practical day-to-day support including personal care as needed.
• Support health and wellbeing, including medication assistance where authorised.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of supports.
• Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure safe, high-quality, person-led supports.
