Job summary

Melba Support Services in Victoria seeks a dedicated Disability Support Worker (casual) to assist people with disability to live meaningful, self-directed lives. You will work across SIL, ISA, and community programs, tailoring support to goals and preferences to promote independence and choice.

You will join a not-for-profit organisation that values learning, teamwork and client-centered care, with shifts including weekends and occasional nights. Training and development are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Current Working with Children Check
• A current Australian Driver Licence
• Availability to work weekends and nights where required
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening and ongoing compliance

Responsibilities

• Build independence, confidence and life skills.
• Assist participation in community, recreational, educational and employment activities.
• Provide practical day-to-day support, including personal care where required.
• Support health and wellbeing, including medication assistance where required.
• Build positive relationships with people supported, families and networks.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver safe, high-quality, person-led support.
