Job summary

Melba Support Services is a not-for-profit provider delivering personalised disability supports across Victoria. We aim to empower people to live life their way with dignity, choice and inclusion.

As a Disability Support Worker you will tailor supports to individual goals, work across SIL/ISA/Community programs, and help people access community activities, independent living and everyday tasks in a respectful, person-led approach.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated commitment to dignity, respect and choice for people with disability.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification or willingness to obtain.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
• Ability to work across shifts, including weekends and active nights.
• Willingness to complete pre-employment checks and ongoing compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to enable independence, choice and goals.
• Assist with community, recreational, educational and employment activities.
• Deliver personal care and daily living assistance when required.
• Support health and wellbeing, including medication assistance where authorised.
• Build positive relationships with participants, families and support networks.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure safe, high-quality, person-led support.
