Liquid Infusion in St Kilda is seeking a Kitchen Hand / Demi Chef to join our events and functions team. Working closely with our kitchen and venue teams, you will assist with food preparation, service and catering for grazing tables, canapés and platters during busy events.

This hands-on role requires at least one year of professional kitchen experience, a solid knowledge of food safety, and the ability to work Thursdays to Sundays, including evenings.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year’s experience in a professional kitchen.
• Experience as Kitchen Hand, Commis Chef or Demi Chef preferred.
• Sound knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Able to work confidently both independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn.
• Available to work Thursday to Sunday, including evenings and weekends.
• Experience with grazing tables, functions or event catering is highly regarded.

Responsabilités

• Assist with food preparation and service across different sections of the kitchen
• Prepare and execute dishes consistently, with close attention to quality and presentation
• Support the preparation and delivery of grazing tables, canapé packages, platters and event catering
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen throughout each shift
• Assist with dishwashing, cleaning and general kitchen duties when required
• Assist with stock preparation, rotation and maintaining appropriate stock levels
• Work effectively with the kitchen and front‑of‑house teams during busy service periods and events
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures
