Crowne Plaza Sydney Macquarie Park is seeking a Demi Chef to join our kitchen team. You will assist the Head Chef with cooking high-quality dishes and help develop new menu items while maintaining hygiene and kitchen standards.

Ideal candidates will have proven Demi Chef experience, strong culinary skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a busy hotel environment. Flexible hours including evenings and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Demi Chef or similar role.
• Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a passion for cooking.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in preparing and cooking high-quality dishes.
• Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards.
• Help to develop new menu items and recipes.
• Manage and train junior kitchen staff.
• Ensure that the kitchen is clean and organized at all times.
• Monitor food stock levels and order supplies as needed.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
• Assist with the planning and execution of special events and catering functions.
