Sheraton Sydney is seeking a Demi Chef to maintain an organised kitchen, ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation, and deliver exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced hotel environment.

You will support the team with food and beverage service periods, uphold food safety, and maintain section cleanliness. The role requires kitchen qualifications, a passion for hospitality, and working rights in Australia.

Qualifications

• Trade Industry Qualification or completion of Commercial Cookery Qualification is required.
• Passion for the industry and a customer-focused mindset.
• Relevant experience in a similar role within hotel or kitchen teams.
• Working rights in Australia are required.
• Self-motivated and energized in a fast-paced environment.
• Smart solutions mindset and can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organisational skills to keep your section clean and running efficiently during each service period.
• Ensure all food is prepared and presented to exceed guest expectations.
• Understand guest requirements and deliver service excellence with every guest experience.
• Assist the team with preparation and execution of all food and beverage service periods.
• Maintain strong food safety and property standards across the kitchen.
• Organise and maintain the assigned kitchen section effectively.
• Serve food in proper portions onto correct receptacles with attention to detail.
