Job summary

GHD is seeking a Defence Environment Market Leader in Australia to drive growth of environmental services within the Defence sector. You will lead national campaigns, build senior client relationships, and translate Defence priorities into opportunities while coordinating cross-disciplinary teams across Australia and the Pacific.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in environmental consulting or related major projects, strong Defence market knowledge, and the credibility to engage senior clients

Qualifications

• 15+ years’ experience in environmental consulting, environmental management and/or major project environments, including demonstrated Defence sector experience.
• Strong knowledge of the Defence market, including policies, processes and requirements.
• Demonstrated track record in senior client engagement and winning work.
• Established environmental expertise and credibility with ability to influence senior clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong networks and relationship-building skills across geographically dispersed teams.
• Security clearance: AGSVA Baseline or higher preferred; travel up to 1 week per month.

Responsibilities

• Lead the growth of GHD’s environmental offering within the Defence market and shape strategic opportunities.
• Provide environmental leadership across Defence pursuits and client programs, coordinating capability from across GHD.
• Build trusted senior client relationships and translate Defence priorities into opportunities for environmental services.
• Collaborate with Defence, Environment and regional leaders to strengthen national capability and create a sustainable pipeline.
