Job summary
GHD is seeking an experienced Defence Environment Market Leader - Australia to drive the growth of our environmental offering within the Defence sector. You will lead national pursuits, shape strategy, and translate client needs into opportunities, leveraging GHD's technical capability across engineering and environmental disciplines.
The role requires a strong track record in Defence, senior stakeholder engagement and a commercial mindset to win work while delivering high-quality environmental
Qualifications
- 15+ years' experience in environmental consulting or major project environments (Defence preferred).
- Strong knowledge of the Defence market, policies, processes and organisations.
- Demonstrated track record in senior client engagement and winning work.
- Established credibility with senior clients, technical leaders and multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to travel; AGSVA Baseline or higher security clearance preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead the growth of GHD's environmental offering within Defence across Australia.
- Provide environmental leadership across major Defence pursuits and client programs.
- Build trusted senior client relationships and translate Defence needs into opportunities.
- Collaborate with Defence, Environment and regional leaders to connect capability nationally.
- Bring a commercial mindset to pursuits and delivery, balancing client outcomes, technical excellence and risk.
