GHD is seeking an experienced Defence Environment Market Leader - Australia to drive the growth of our environmental capability within the Defence sector. You will lead cross‑functional teams, shape strategic opportunities, and strengthen senior client relationships to translate Defence needs into sustainable business outcomes.

The role requires 15+ years in environmental consulting or major projects with Defence experience, a strong commercial mindset, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

15+ years in environmental consulting or major projects with Defence exposure.
Strong understanding of Defence policies and ways of working.
Proven track record in winning work and developing senior client relationships.

Responsibilities

Lead growth of environmental offerings within Defence and shape strategic opportunities.
Provide environmental leadership across Defence pursuits and client programs.
Build senior client relationships and translate needs into opportunities for growth.
Collaborate across Defence, Environment and regional leaders to connect capability nationally.
Balance client outcomes, technical excellence, and risk in line with Defence requirements.
