Job summary

GHD is recruiting an experienced Defence Environment Market Leader - Australia to drive growth and environmental leadership across Defence initiatives nationwide. You will engage senior clients, connect capability across GHD, and help shape and win strategic opportunities in the Defence sector.

The role requires 15+ years in environmental consulting with Defence experience, a strong commercial mindset, and the ability to lead complex pursuits and programs while managing risk.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in environmental consulting or related fields, with Defence sector exposure.
• Proven track record in senior client engagement and winning work.
• Strong knowledge of Defence priorities, processes and requirements.
• Established credibility to engage senior clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead growth of GHD’s environmental offering within the Defence market and shape opportunities.
• Provide environmental leadership across Defence pursuits and client programs.
• Build trusted senior client relationships and translate Defence needs into opportunities for GHD.
• Collaborate with Defence, Environment and regional leaders to connect capability nationwide.
• Bring a strong commercial mindset to pursuits and delivery, balancing client outcomes and technical excellence.
